The Importance Of Focusing

In the previous blog I shared with you how after the fall of marriage, turning to drugs and depression I new I had to make some changes.  I began to focus on three things.  I focused on how things should have been, how things were and what my dreams were.  It was after I began to focus that I saw the changes that took place in my life.  In the same way if you want to make money with http://www.incomedownlines.com or any other program you need to focus on those three things.

The first thing you need to focus on is where you would like to find yourself in your business or in any area of your life.  I did that by focusing on how things were so different before I turned my back of God.  I focused on how I loved God at one time.  I went to church every time the doors were open.  I remembered how I prayed and read the Bible everyday.  How I shared my faith in Junior and High School.  How from the very age of 5, I wanted to be a minister.  Not because I had to, but because I wanted to.  I was focusing on where my life could have been.  The first thing you want to do is focus on where you could be.  Focus on what you would like to see for your life right now.  Where do you want to be.  How much money do you need to survive.  Focus on the person you need to be.  Focus on how you want to reach out to your love ones, your spouse, your friends, your children and those you come in to contact with.

After I focused on where I should be I had to be honest with myself and focus on where I am.  Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV version) reads, " For I know the plans I have for you,� declares the Lord, �plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."  When I focused on where I was that was not the case.  I was not prospering instead I found myself divorced, separated from my two daughters, homeless at one time, trying drugs and alcohol and hurting.  I knew that I had to do something.  Because I had focused on where I could have been, as I mentioned in the previous paragraph, I knew what I had to do.  I had to return to the God I once served, because that is where I wanted to be. 

Having said that take a look at where you are.  How do you fall short of the focus on how thing should be.  Where should you be today.  Are you happy with where you are today.  If you are not happy with where you are, what do you have to do to make yourself reach that goal.  How can the programs in http://www.incomedownlines.com help you reach that goal.

The 3rd thing that I began to focus on is what were my dreams.  I remember how as a little child around the age of 5 I wanted to become a minister.  Even before I got married and turned my back on God, I went to Bible School because I wanted to become a minister.  So after I focused on making the changes in my life, I began to focus on my dreams.  I became one of the top three leaders at the church I grew up in.  I was ordained through the church and even became staff of Shepherd's  Flock (there outreach substance abuse program for drugs and alcohol).  I was reunited with my two daughters when they got older and realized that they were lied to.  I was remarried and even have married again and have a daughter with my 2nd wife as well as 4 other step children.  But my dream does not end there.  You see my ancestors include Benjamin Harrison who signed the Declaration of Independence, William Henry Harrison the 9th President of The United States and Benjamin Harrison the 23rd President of the United States.  As a result it is my desire to see another Great Awakening in America.  I want to see America turn to God.  That is my dream.  In order to do that I need to reach out to the homeless, drug addict, the alcoholic, the prostitute, those who lost a spouse due to death or divorce or hurting in any way.  However, the homeless and those hurting could never afford to pay me, so I created http://www.incomedownlines.com to do just that.  When I focus on my dream for the future, I have a reason to work hard in promoting Income Downlines.  In order to reach out to those in the streets, I need to still be able to support my family.  I can do that with the website that I created. 

So ask yourself what is your dream for the future.  What do you have to do to reach that dream.  What changes do you need to make in your life.  How hard do you have to work at accomplishing your dream.  Once you have your mind set to do something you will do it.  They only person who can stop you from reaching your dreams is yourself.  After all God has great plans for you.
