You can probably think of hundreds of reasons why having an email list is far better than having a direct mailing list. Although both are quite beneficial, an email list is far more functional and convenient. The following ten reasons illustrate why an email list is far better than a traditional direct mailing list.

Sending out emails is done electronically online. With an email list, you can set up your messages in advance, and have them sent out automatically. However, sending out direct mailings requires a hands-on process, and is very arduous.

Servicing an email list is far more cost effective. With a direct mailing list, the cost of printing, copying, envelopes, postage, and shipping labels is very costly.

3. You Can Reach a Wider Audience
You can send emails to anyone all over the globe. Contrarily, direct mail has only a local reach.

4. Mailings Go Out Quicker

You can send out an email to thousands of people on your list literally in seconds. Direct mail takes several days to reach their targets, and some of the mail can even get lost during delivery.

5. An Email List is More Interactive

Recipients can respond to your email message as soon as they receive it. You can literally communicate for hours sending emails back and forth. This is not possible with a direct mailing list.

You can connect with your subscribers on a personal level far more effectively with an email list than you can with a direct mailing list. .

As you can see, it is far advantageous to have an email list than a traditional direct mailing list. While a direct mailing list is still useful, an email list is absolutely mandatory regardless of the size of either list.
