Avant is the web browswer I normally use because it has and Autofill feature that is vastly superior to anything else.

The latest version of Avant ranged from poor to dead when it had to load my Gmail accounts. This forced me to look at other options. There was nothing to replace the Avant Autofill feature, so I decided to stay with Avant and just use something else for Gmail.

I used Greenbrowser for a while, but it also picked up problems with the Gmail accounts. I then though about just finding the fastest browsers and try them until I could find one that worked well with the Gmail accounts....

You see a fantastic looking web site, but is there really substance to it? This question becomes especially important if you are thinking of using products or services offered on the web site. Luckily there are intelligence agencies that can help you with this.

If you want to use promotional or advertising web sites like traffic exchanges, safelists, or classifieds, you want to be sure the site is actually substantial enough to deliver what you require. There is nothing wrong with supporting small startup sites, if that is what you want to do, as long as it is an informed decision. Experience shows that your chances of getting a satisfactory service are better if you select from sites with a good turnover in traffic....

Autoplay videos - The results

Readers were previously burdened by my complaints about videos that start playing on web pages without giving me a choice to play them or not. I said this particularly in the context of pages meant to sell or to obtain contact information. To test the assumption that autoplay videos are especially effective on such pages, I threw out a "Guru" page with an autoplay video to see what happens....
