Marketing Tools - Why They Shouldn't Scare Us

I recently reviewed all the emails I received from members
of free advertising sites.  My purpose was to analyze the
kinds of programs these members were promoting.  I wasn't
surprised at the results.  The largest share of emails were
asking me to sign up for advertising sites...safelists,
traffic exchanges, classified ads, and mailers.

Most emails mentioned the importance of building a list
and how this could be accomplished by joining the above
sites mentioned. Some explained the inportance of signing
up for marketing tools.

If list building is important and if marketing tools are
the gateway to building a list, then why do most people
refuse to sign up for these marketing tools.

There are 3 main reasons why those marketing programs don't
sign up for a program offering marketing tools:

1.  They feel they are too expensive.

2.  They feel they can't learn to use the tools.

3.  It's time consuming and takes too long.

I would like to debunk these 3 reasons.

Marketing tools can be free or very inexpensive if you take
the time to research the various offers.

Some marketing tools are for advanced marketers, but there
are some that are very user friendly.

There are marketing tools available that are easy to set up
and with the right capture pages you can build your list
much faster.

In a previous blog I mentioned that I have used at least 4
different programs with marketing tools.  And the best, and
