As they say, 'whatever gets you through the day'.

One good practice is for example after much effort you check your statistics to see how many prospects or sales you have. Nothing much yet? Someone who is going to commit self-sabotage (quit trying) will say things like, 'well here is something else I failed at', or 'well, I guess people were right, this is a scam'. Now on top of being disappointed in the lack of results so far, they have created a state of depression - a sense of loss and failure.

A winner who is undaunted by temporary setbacks or the fact that everything takes time, will take those negative thoughts and feelings and use the energy instead to go submit an ad or write an article or learn something new; or maybe even just shut down for the day and go do something pleasurable. Get away from the maze for a while. It is a good idea to do this frequently anyway, because when you have a home business it is tempting to just work around the clock and this can be exhausting after a while. In fact being overly tired can definitely feel the same as depression caused by dwelling on negative thoughts.

We really have to remember to be realistic. If we get too high on our dreams it makes reality seem dull. It is reality that we have to live in until we can make our dreams come true. In order to remain fully functional and be at the top of our game, we have to have a balance - hard work and rest - dreams and reality. Remember there is no magic to starting a home business online. Success in any business will more than likely only come from hard work and investing our time to see it through.
