Earn money online

Everyone�s always looking to make an extra buck or two. I guess one could get a second job but the thoughts of that are really unappealing when there are so many opportunities online; all of which can be done in the comfort of your home. I prefer blogging personally because I enjoy spreading the word about effective income opportunities and really I just like helping people out. When I started blogging, I thought it would be easy just to put some verbiage out there and put a few links here and there in the article and a few weeks later the cash would start rolling into my PayPal account. Ah, was I ever wrong. It became very frustrating because I worked so hard to put things out there that I was promoting and I liked. After countless hours of looking around the internet, I found a few reasons for my failures in blogging.

1. The reader must always come first. You know, many times, people are just looking for help and suggestions versus buying products. You need to really focus on the readership first from day one and then the other stuff will fall into place. Look around the internet and see what people are searching for and write on that topic. As you continue to write more and more everyday you will continue to get better and will start to have some followers.

2. Choose an acitiviy/Niche to write about. What ever that is, make sure you are passionate about it and become an authority about that particular niche. For most bloggers starting out with their first blog, the only way you can achieve that kind of authority and STICK WITH IT is to be blogging about something you are knowledgeable about and something you�ll enjoy blogging about.

3. Pick a blogging platform. Starting out, FREE is always better. Wordpress is free and is usually most bloggers preferred platform. Make sure you do basic SEO for your WordPress blog so it will do well in the search engines. Pick your design and then you�ll be ready to go.

4. Be yourself. I think this is really important. When writing your blog, just be yourself and don�t try to emulate someone you are not. Being YOU may not get you the most readers, but it will get you passionate readers. Those passionate readers will be more apt to follow you and eventually buy products or a service from you. Being you will also help you build a connection with your readers and establish a rapport.

5. Use the Social Networks. This is not to say you should be on Twitter 8 hours a day or on Facebook 12 hours a day but just being involved in your social community. Believe it or not, people really like to comment on and retweet your postings. The everyday brick and mortar businesses get involved with their chamber of commerce, attend local networking events, sponsor local youth teams, advertise in local papers� bloggers need to be involved in their off-site topic community with social media.

6. Blog like everyone is ALL ears. I am in the minority probably but when I started blogging, I just let it all go. I was confident in what I said and I really didn�t care if I had any followers because I knew they would come if I kept putting out quality material that I was passionate about . Not everything needs to be a work of art � but you need to show readers you have a lot of things to share so they will return for more. I blog everyday and use Google a lot to see what others are talking about in my particular niche. Again, some may say this is over kill but I disagree. Mostly because I have a business and I need to blog every day.
