Tips to close with confidence

Closing a sale is important in any retail or marketing business.  I was on one of the weekly calls with Empower Network and I really learned a lot and wanted to pass it along.  Not everyone is good at closing a sale and the reality is after about 10 or 15 of those lost sales, your profits will take a complete nose dive and your affected psychologically.  I want to share with you a few tips that may help you out and get you back on track.

1.  Attitude is EVERYTHING.  First and foremost, be confident.  Your closing attitude affects your performance and if you face a close with excessive nervousness, you'll probably have to struggle to conceal your emotions which will jeopardize your sale.  This all starts with a good plan.  If you have a well thought out presentation or plan and you practice, you will be more at ease and have a less stressed attitude.

2.  Know your product.  Well duh, pretty obvious I know.  Study all of your products and learn everything you can about the products.  I know what your thinking; what if I have over 100 products in my store?  Well, I have an answer.  Pick a handful of your favorite products and learn everything you can about them; focus on promoting those handful of products.  If your products are computer programs, it would be in your best interest to buy that same program and try it out.  There is nothing more disturbing than purchasing a program online and when you go ask the seller about it, he/she has no clue what it does.  Knowing your product also helps with tip #1; you will be relaxed and very confident.

3.  Develop thick skin.  Yep, true statement.  You will not be able to convince everyone to buy your product.  To be honest, after you get really good at this sales stuff, you will know right off the bat if someone is going to buy from you.  Ive honestly never met a stranger so Im always talking to people to establish that rapport and just to meet new people that may need some help.  It only took me a couple of weeks tops to know if a customer was going to buy from me.  Just be prepared for rejection.  Dont let it affect you, keep your nose to the grind and press on to the next customer.  Trust me there is light at the end of the tunnel if you just stick with it and DONT QUIT.

If your not a member of Empower Network, shame on you.  You absolutely have to get on board if you want to take your business to that next level.  There is so much to learn and there are a ton of marketing secrets that you are missing by not getting involved.
