Well, we know that celebrities
such as athletes and Hollywood stars have used attraction marketing for
decades. After all, sports heroes have been selling everything from bubble gum
to sports shoes for over a century. Another way attraction marketing has
been used is through lifestyle marketing. The Unstoppable Family is a great example of this. Brian and Rhonda
travel throughout the world, simply living life and sharing it with others.
... That's all great, but
what about us. You know, the "average Joe." Can a person use
attraction marketing if they are not a great athlete or live a fabulous lifestyle?
Yes. In education there is an old saying, "They They wont care how much
you know, Until they know how much you care." It simply means leading with
quality, leading with content, "paying it forward."
It really comes down to finding
out what people want and helping them get it. And after all , isnt that how you
would want to be treated? Does it sound familiar? It should. Some call it the "Golden
Rule." Zig Ziglar said it like
this, You will get all you want in life if you help enough other people get
what they want.
That isn't manipulation, it's
logical. You see people don't really care about what you want; the care about
they want. That is not selfish or self absorbed, it is reality. So how can the
average Joe use attraction marketing? Not being the coolest, the
most hip, or the greatest athlete but by being the most attentive.
The most attentive to what others
need. In the movie Eddie, Whoopi Goldberg's
character is told by one of he players points out that she was concerned about
what she wanted--winnng, not about the various needs of her players. When Eddie
got it right, her players performed. She was using attraction marketing.
Sometimes a person will tell
you what they want but more often you have to be aware of others. What is their
need? What would make their life easier? When you find that answer you can be a
true pracitionser of...
