What We All Should Remember About the Legend Jim Rohn

Who was Jim Rohn?Jim Rohn was one of the most influential philosophers and motivational speakers of the last forty years. His influence through his business philosophy and seminars, touched thousands of people throughout the world, including mine.

This is a tribute to Jim Rohn, a legend in his own time and a wonderful person.His influence touched the lives and propelled the careers of other great leaders in the personal development industry like Tony Robbins, Mark Victor Hanson, Brian Tracy and Jack Canfield, to name but a few.

Anthony Robbins, the Author of Unlimited Power had this to say about Jim Rohn: "I believe Jim Rohn is an extraordinary person whose philosophy can improve the life of anyone that chooses to heed to his advice. He positively impacted my life in a period of my life when I was laying the foundation for my philosophies that is a guide for me today".

Character and principlesJim Rohn was very sincere,he was a very real person and he was a man of principled integrity. In person, he was as down-to-earth as he was in front of an audience of thousands. He never took shortcuts, just in identifying your dreams and going after them by daily disciplined action. For Jim, success was the natural result of disciplined daily action: "Success is the natural consequence of consistently applying the basic fundamentals".Jim stuck with the fundamentals and principles. Nothing he taught was new.

This plain and unassuming man presented such an extraordinarily powerful message in simple and straightforward language. He could paint with words and his quotes remain evidence for many of his talent to influence others. One of my favorite Jim Rohn quotes: "Failure is simply a few errors in judgment, repeated every day", reminds me that we can all change the course of our lives this very day by evaluating and fixing the errors in our mindset .Sadly Jim Rohn passed away on 5 December 2009 after he battled for eighteen months with Pulmonary Fibrosis. The legacy of Jim Rohn will be around forever. Jim called every soul he met to be your best in terms of health, wealth and happiness and to use your faith to dream about and achieve worthy rewards.

He always led by example.The beginning of a success journeyJim grew up as an Idaho farming boy. At the age of 25, he was a typical middle class American family man in a crisis. He could not repay his debt and he had to support his family. Jim met John Earl Shoaff at that time, who became his life's mentor and asked him to change the way he was leading his life. Jim joined the orginization belonging to Mr Shoaff and started his journey in personal development. By the age of 31, the application of this new life-plan turned him into a millionaire.Jim then went on to share the story of his own personal development and advance in life with audiences all over the globe in the form of seminars, recorded weekend seminars, books, audio cassettes and DVD's.

He traveled extensively throughout his life to address over 6000 audiences (4 million people worldwide) around the world. He touched many more by the ripple effect of those hearing his voice and expanded their imagination of what is possible for them.His business success started here Jim joined a MLM company part time. He worked during the day and after hours he worked his MLM business. During the early years Jim build his business the difficult way.

The internet and all the marketing tools available today did not even exist. He held meetings, invited prospects to the meetings, was creative to find prospects in warm and cold markets. He worked hard and he did everything required in what we will call "old school marketing strategies".
