Congruence!

Congruence – Congruence means that what I do and what I say matches up.

And it is impossible to lead when a leaders action and a leaders words are all mixed up. What it really does it create a mass confusion amongst the followers.

It is easier to tell someone what to do than to show them what to do. It is easier to ask someone to do something and then not do it our self. Talking is cheap and easy, doing is a little more difficult.

This is what we know. Creditability of a leader is often their congruence, their ability to match up what they say and do, marching to what they just told us to do.

People do what they see. Leadership is visual.
Talking is Cheap and Easy, Doing is a little More Difficult.
