With Tesla pushing for the right to sell its cars directly to
consumers without franchised dealerships, I was looking to speak to an analyst who can weigh the pros and cons of a
manufacturer-run dealership, and what the likelihood is of more states getting on board with letting manufacturers sell directly to consumers.
From the consumer's standpoint, are there potential benefits to buying directly from the automaker instead of a dealership? Can consumer save money if they buy directly from an automaker?
What are the biggest hurdles standing in the way of
manufacturer-owned dealerships, and why are so many states against it? Any chance that other automakers might try and follow Tesla's lead and try their hand at starting their own dealerships, or is Tesla acting on their own?
Talk back!
I will see you at the top!
