COMMON
DENOMINATOR:
Last night we talked about the mindset of a lady who has a 2014 goal
of $200,000 with her program and is halfway there already. And we
noted she gets up everyday and goes to work towards her goal.
She
does not look for excuses.
She
does not begin the day 'hoping' for
success.
She
never looks at anyone but herself.
This
reminded me that there seems to be a COMMON
DENOMINATOR of
expectation in home business that just joining a program will result
in success. For example, every day I receive an email or talk to
someone who tells me, "No
programs work for me." or "I've
wasted a lot of money on programs that don't work." or
some other observation.
Somehow
we have to shift the paradigm to one that says:"Programs
don't work by themselves, you must have a budget and a plan and make
an effort." And,
if you can get a personal mentor to help, all the better
...
Expecting
a program to bring success on its own is like owning a car with no
engine and claiming, "The
highways don't get me anywhere."
The
good news is more of my LazyWealth friends now admit they have to put
the engine in the car, gas it up, have directions and drive to a
successful conclusion.
But
it is a challenge. I still get emails from people who have undertaken
a marketing strategy and email a few days later to let me know, "It
doesn't work."
Or
from those who tell me, "All
I get are bad leads."
Maybe
a little 'mental
adjustment'
will help.
ALL
SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE SUCCEED BECAUSE THEY DON'T TAKE REJECTION
PERSONALLY.
I
met a very successful man who once told me he was successful because
he reminded himself every day that, "90%
of people don't want to see me but the other 10% give me a nice
lifestyle."
A
dose of reality helps, too: A few days ago a man wrote to tell me, "I
have spent $300 on this program and don't have anything to show for
it. I'm thinking of quitting."
He
speaks for many people, all who have failed in home business. And he
highlights two important points: 1.
He has not given the program enough time to succeed and, 2. He cannot
reasonably expect wealth with a total budget of $300.
So
before you blame a program please look inside at your budget, your
patience, your plan, the effort you made and other factors that
contribute to success.
Maybe
for the sake of perspective it would be good to go online and look at
businesses and franchises for sale and see if you can find one that
promises success for a few hundred dollars and a couple of months
work.
We
will never say success is easy but it is the only logical
destination.
