Elias asked, �I don't know about you but it seems to me the economy is getting worse and worse. Do you think this will help or hurt home business this summer?�

Summer is a very good time for home business.

In fact, in recent years June has been exceptionally busy, the 4th of July weekend slow, but the rest of July and August very good.

We think this summer might be exceptionally good for a variety of reasons:

1. A survey a few days ago said only 11% of the current college graduates had a job lined up before graduating. Wow! Of course, those with computer science, health care or engineering had a great outlook, but all those people majoring in liberal arts, ethinic studies or other more 'generic' disciplines are really struggling.

2. The real purchasing power of the average family is down nearly $7,000 annually thanks to the never ending stimulus that devalues the dollar and the hefty tax increases last year and still coming this year.

3. The price of basic necessities - gasoline, home heating and cooling, and groceries - is up dramatically with significant food increases predicted as this year continues.

4. Economic cures are missing from both the minds and agenda of the political class; only re-election and protecting their cushy lifestyles is at the forefront.

5. The worldwide job market has changed while the preparation for a worldwide market are missing from schools. Future students must speak more than English, should take at least one semester overseas, must be computer proficient, and must have a worldwide view. College degrees today are so often so watered down with cushy classes that one executive of a large company said, "I don't care about the degree; I want to see the classes and the travel the graduate has taken."

There are more factors, of course, but given vapid political leadership in a rapidly changing, often challenging, world we are convinced more and more people will search for financial independence on their own.

SO THE FUTURE FOR HOME BUSINESS IS BRIGHTER THAN EVER.
