Our Problem Child

I am sure, if you have children that you have at least one problem child, one who is always getting into trouble, and coming to you to bail them out constantly. Well ours is our second child, Darryl. There is always something happening to him. His whole life is one big drama. I promise you that my life is never dull!

Darryl is a diesel mechanic. He has this obsession that he is going to own his own mechanic shop. However he is always broke. He works himself to death for all of these people who wants a free mechanic. They always promise Darryl the moon, if he would just fix whatever, but Darryl always gets cheated. Well, one of his so called friends called him to come and pick him up, as they were working on a vehicle that had to be done the next morning, but when Darryl got there, he kept playing him off for one reason or another. Darryl finally passed out from exhaustion. When he woke up, his keys, cell phone, and his pickup truck was gone. About $3,000 of mechanic tools was in his truck, as he goes to wherever people need him, to fix their vehicles. That was his lively hood. Well he went crazy bugging everyone he knew to get his truck back. After a couple of weeks he finally found it. It was striped of just about everything. They stold his tires, and put real bad tires on it, took his tags, replacing them with some other tags, and stold everything that he had in the truck. He also had his wallet in the truck, so we had to go, and replace all of this stuff that was in his wallet. He had clothes in it, so they were gone also. All of the door locks had been screwdrivered, and broken, ignition was gone, window mechanisms were taken out, radio system gone. What a mess. Ever since he got it back he has been working hard to get it back to a good truck. When he went to get his air compressor out of the pawn shop, they would not give it to him, saying that the police reported that he has pawned tools at other location pawn shops that were stolen. So he figured that they took all of his tools to the pawn shops which he had not even been to, using his name, pawning his own tools, and others that they sold, I guess. So this huge expensive air compressor that he made, he cannot get back now.

Well, he spent the night at some girls house on 3/25/2014, and when he woke up, his lap top, and his truck was gone. He had all of his mechanic tools that he had replaced, another $2,000+ worth, most all of his clothes, bathing, and shaving stuff all gone, again. He has been searching for it again. Bugging everyone he knows about any news of what happened, but there has been no luck this time.

Well, yesterday morning Danny wakes me up urgently telling me that our son wants to talk to me on the phone. Darryl left me the truck papers after it got stolen the first time, so I would have what he needed for the police report. His boss was driving somewhere, and passed the truck on the road, and called the police. They wanted to know the VIN number. We had about given up for him to ever get it back this time. Have not heard from him since, so I do not know how bad things are this time. Hopefully he got it back in not too bad a condition. He had heard through the grapevine, that some guy was driving it all over town. Hopefully he liked it enough not to mess it up anymore than it already was.

Hope that no one else has to deal with this kind of drama. It definitely is not any fun, to have to constantly bail someone out of all of this kinds of drama. What we endure, cause we love someone!
