Boy, did I get a surprise this morning when I checked my email.
I received a notice from Pa y Pal that I sent an automatic payment of $214.80. WHAT???????????
I don't remember EVER authorizing that much for ANYTHING!!! EVER!!! Well, I guess I did. Evidently, on May 16, 2012, I used HostZilla for a clickbank product that I was promoting. I don't remember EVER using HostZilla, since GoDaddy is so SO much cheaper. I must have been in some sort of daze when (if) I did that! WHAT WAS I THINKING?????????????
I immediately went into my paypal account, and found that ...yep, it's in there! I cancelled my recurring payment on the spot. I then replied to the receipt I received from HostZilla and asked for cancellation and refund asap. I got a notice that they have set up a "ticket" and will get back with me.
Two years ago, I evidently set up an automatic payment. 2 YEARS AGO! Most people don't remember what they did last week, let alone 2 years. I'm just telling you this so you will be aware of any automatic payments that you may have that you've forgotten about. CHECK YOUR PAYPAL ACCOUNTS NOW! Now, I've got to wait for them to get back with me, wait for the refund to hit my paypal account, and wait for paypal to transfer the money back into my bank (after I request it first) Probably about a week's time we're talking about here. Please, be aware of what you've done. Hopefully you guys are smarter than I was 2 years ago. A hard lesson to learn.
Thanks for listening. Take heed!
Till next time.
Carol
