Not a good day yesterday

Last evening, I was taking a shower, and just finished washing my hair.  My mom called, and said she was taking her friend to the ER, and she would like us to be with her.  He'd been pretty sick all day, and his Dr. said to get him to the ER.  So, I finished up a quickie shower, toweled my hair (which I NEVER do, I'm not a shower and go person, I have to set it!), and we took off. Guess he has a urinary tract infection, and the medicine he was given was making him sick.

While we were there, my uncle called, and said that their sister had passed away.  So, here we are, at the hospital, Mom had been worried about her blood work and her Dr. appointment, worried about her friend, and I had to tell her that her sister had died.  I would guess she's about 85, has had several strokes, and wasn't in the best of health anyway.  Well, what else could go wrong!   We took them home so she wouldn't have to worry about that in the rain and the dark.   

I talked to her today, and she's in pretty good spirits.  Her friend is feeling much better, so things are looking up a bit.

On to a brighter note, Luke went to his hip Dr. today, and said  "Well, guess we'll see you in about a year!"  Cool.  He said he's doing great, nothing more the Dr. can do, unless he has some problems, so we're ok.  Now he can drive once in a while!  I don't mind it so bad.  At least it's not snowing like we went through this winter.  Rough winter, better spring, and hopefully awesome summer.

Gotta go do some work.
