Multi Level Marketing Companies are they Scams?

What are multi-Level marketing companies and why are there so many people in the USA today looking at or participating in these home business opportunities? There are over 1500 MLM or (multi-level marketing companies) out in the world market today!

Why is this model of marketing looked down upon in the United States today? Is multi-level marketing a scam?

Multi level Marketing referred to as MLM is a marketing strategy in which the sales force is compensated not only for sales they personally generate, but also for the sales of others they recruit, creating a down-line of distributors and a hierarchy of multiple levels of compensation along with residual income payouts this sounds pretty good . Think of it you are now leveraging your time, which is the most precious commodity that anyone has. And you are leveraging and duplicating your efforts, kind of smart! Then why the bad name?

The over zealot friends or family members that you just want to say ALL Right Stop! You know the ones, it could have even been you. I�ve done it too back in the early 80�s don�t worry not bashing anyone, just saying! They won�t stop asking you to come to their meetings. This gives people a bad feeling, people don�t want to say no, leave me alone. Remember no one like to be sold. We love to buy but no one like to be sold. That being said, during the early days of multi level marketing there were big law suits and the occult type atmosphere, price fixing on products, initial high cost start up all that gave mlm�s a bad name. Criticism has focused on their similarity to illegal pyramid schemes (hence the �scheme� reference). So even after 3 decades this idea has stuck, �what you�re in one of those pyramid schemes?�. "Those don�t work, you�re just wasting your money"!

Well due to our economy and the struggle that people are having just paying their rent, buying groceries, putting gas in their car, corporate structures unreliable people are looking and moving into Yes you got it Multi-Level-Marketing programs.  Now according to the WFDSA (World Federation of  Direct Sales Association),  consumers benefit from direct selling because of the convenience and service it provides, including personal demonstration and explanation of products, home delivery, and generous satisfaction guarantees. In contrast to franchising, the cost for an individual to start an independent direct selling business is typically very low with little or no required inventory or other cash commitments to begin. There have been more millionaire made in network marketing companies, then any other industry. 

3 Tips in Choosing a Multi-Level Marketing Company!

What is most important in today�s market, is utilizing the tools we have be successful. The new model of being a successful marketer is using the internet. Today if you are not using the internet and only focusing on off line marketing you are missing out. Why because you can reach more people and be more efficient with your time and money, if you are utilizing the internet. You can grow your business and duplicate more quickly. Today, you need to find someone who is marketing online, that is utilizing a recruiting mlm system that you can plug into. The mlm prospecting system will allow you to better leverage your time and get you away from focusing on family and friends, but focus on those who are really interested in what you can teach them and show them how to duplicate what you are doing. Remember most people are buying you as a leader the product is secondary. People need to be trained online. One of the best places that I have found with no up-selling going on, which allows me to stay focused and all the training and tools I need in one place is 12 second commute. I can plug my new people into this system and they can start learning how to market online, to reach those people that are interested in their products. Stop struggling, stop prospecting and start promoting your business or businesses.

• Find a Recruiting MLM System:  Find a mentor to assist you working online, someone who is transparent that will let you have their phone number, who will work with you and train you. Find someone who understands sales and marketing both online and off.   
• Find a Reputable MLM Company:  One that has been in business 5 years, debt free and part of the WSDA. 
• Choose a product or company you are passionate about: Remember you are going to be selling this to others it is easier if you�re passionate about it! If you love doing something it is not work and that is one of the keys to your success.
