There are different parts to this traffic strategy and one of them takes a while before you will be able to use it fully. Stick to it, it is time well invested. Twitter.
If you have a Twitter account, then this part is ready to go. Otherwise, open an account and start following people and getting followers. We are talking about real people, not junk followers. A thousand genuine followers are better than 10 thousand who does not engage with your content. Keep on getting more followers.

The Strategy. Increase your virtual currency in Empire Avenue, or pay for it, till the point where you are able to regularly afford the creation of missions. What's important from a traffic point of view, is the Empire Avenue feature that allows you to leverage the social media influence of other EA members.
It works like this: After posting an article to your blog, you tweet it on Twitter. Then you create a Twitter Mission in EA. Other Empire Avenue members do the mission by going to this specific tweet of yours and earn virtual money for their effort. You decide this amount.
You will need the URL of the tweet. Go to the tweet in Twitter and click anywhere within the rectangle that surrounds the tweet not on the links in the tweet. A page will load with only this tweet on it. Copy the URL. This is what such a tweet looks like.
The rest is straight forward. In Empire Avenue, go to Missions, click on Create Missions, choose the Mission Type - in this case - visit a Twitter Tweet, then fill in the rest. Start with a fixed reward and an amount within your means. Later on you can try the scaled reward missions.
The Empire Avenue members doing the mission engage with your tweet by retweeting it and/or making it a favorite. By retweeting it to their followers your tweet gets a huge increase in exposure, as you will see next.
Create a mission that can be done by say 10 Empire Avenue members, with 2000 Twitter followers each, just as an example. Eight out of the ten are likely to retweet it to their followers. That's a retweet to around 16,000 people.
To see the full potential of this, let's increase it a bit and create a mission that can be completed by 50 Empire Avenue members. Forty of the fifty retweet it to their followers, and they have an average of 2000 followers each. Now a total of 80,000 people are receiving your blog post tweet.
Let's assume you've got 2000 followers too and you tweet about every blog post you make. Compare this to the same blog post tweet going to 80,000 or more people at a time. That's leverage. However, there's still more. How about a mission for 100 Empire Avenue members?
After this mission is done you archive it. Now you have the options of cloning the mission, rerunning it or creating a new one for the same blog post tweet. You are only limited by the amount of virtual money you own. If you can afford it you can run missions daily, and you can run different missions at the same time.
You can also create missions that take the Empire Avenue members to your blog post directly where they will engage at will, or to your Facebook or Google Plus profile pages, or to your Facebook Fanpage, or to a YouTube video, etc. The better your content, the more engagement you can expect.
This makes me think of the saying: It's not who you are that's important, it's who you know. Using this traffic strategy is even more powerful.
Life should be fun - enjoy it!
