In our previous blog we discussed gathering contact information through the use of capture pages.
Now let's dive into the next step which is, what to do with that information.
In a prior blog I stated, there are tools that every successful online income earner uses. These tools are not optional, you must have them.
Captures pages we discussed in the prior blog was one tool for your Affiliate business.
Today well discuss Autoresponders
What is an Auto Responder?
Autoresponders send can a series of email messages daily or several days apart from one another. You determine the intervals of when the messages are to be delivered.
Generally this is what happens
Someone is searching/surfing for and Affiliate Marketing business that fits their idea of a good business they could work from home.
They saw your capture page which interested them and they left their contact information on your page.
Once a person has left their contact information on your capture page, do they read all of the information that follows about the great affiliate business you want them to sign up for?
I read a study that showed people read 20% -25% of the information they look at when searching for information and they stay on a page less than 10 seconds.
Ive researched and read many articles regarding how long a person stays on a site and the findings are different from one study to the next however the final conclusions were all the same
People do not read everything they see and time spent on a site is very short, this will be especially true when the search is for an affiliate business opportunity, there are too many to choose from.
Thats why a good capture page is necessary, if the affiliate opportunity viewed is liked, contact information is left.
What happens next?
Do to our busy schedules we dont always read our emails. We open our email and see how much mail we have and we delete a lot of information that weve determined to be unnecessary at the time.
You are prepared for that scenario. This is where your autoresponder goes to work.
Day one of receiving the contact information, you send a welcome letter or a thank you letter.
Day three another email automatically goes out, highlighting a few benefits for signing up with your Affiliate business.
Day five another email automatically goes out, it could include more benefits of your affiliate business or, information about receiving a free give away that was included on your capture page.
Day eight another email automatically goes out, this could be the email with your call to action, telling the interested person its critical to sign up for the affiliate program today. You appreciate their interest but you wont waste their time if theyre not interested. The reality is they wont waste your time if they truly have no interest.
You can have your autoresponder deliver emails anywhere from 1 14 days (14 days is my recommendation for the max amount of days).
With the autoresponder you have overcome the possibility of someone not seeing your first email
Your autoresponder is doing your follow-up, allowing you more time to focus on getting more traffic
Your autoresponder also performing the call to action or closing the deal for you.
There are many more things that your autoresponder can do but for now, everyone that is new to affiliate marketing or is struggling to earn an income, I chose to focus on how the autoresponder can be used to:
1. Save you time with follow-up.
2. Close the deal by having your final email state; its time to sign up now or the opportunity is no longer available. (stop wasting my time)
Click the red banner to the right of this blog, it begins with "Getting started is easy". Youre given a free look at an affiliate program that includes an autoresponder with pre-written responses, this saves time in getting your business up and running. This program may also be used with any legitimate online business you may currently have.
