My Story ll

I continued living at Lake Tahoe, NV working as a musician and working in restaurants, casinos and a tons of different jobs to keep my ski habit going. 

In the mid 90s a friend of mine who was musician in my band started working as a mobile DJ for weddings. He started makings some pretty solid side money and convinced me that I would be great at it. So, I took some of my savings and bought some good sound equipment and starting buying cds which had just come out around then. Prior to that it was about bringing records and tapes. 

I got lucky when a regular dj at the Cal-Neva Hotel in North Lake Tahoe got into an argument with the owner. I was working the restaurant so when I heard he argued with the boss, I told the wedding dept. I was ready and they started giving me a lot of work. The Cal-Neva then although it was a Casino Hotel, the owner focused on weddings. Sometimes in the summer I was doing 4 or 5 weddings every weekend. I started making some really good money.

I got far enough ahead where I decided to invest in Lake Tahoe Real Estate, which is not an inexpensive proposition. Luckily, or least that's what I thought at the time prices started going up like crazy. 

So I started attending money making and self improvement seminars.   

Through this I got this interest in hypnosis and NLP. I have always had an interest in self change and self improvement and my new found money making skills allowed me an opportunity to study these skills. 

I not only discovered NLP and hypnosis, but also Huna, which is study of meta-physics in Hawaii. I also took a couple week study of what is called trainers training, which I learned how to develop my own seminars and do public speaking. Public speaking seemed like a natural to me considering my show biz background. 

Maybe because of new self confidence, I started borrowing money against my properties and buying more property. It was kind of normal thinking in the early and mid 2000s until of course, when 2005 through 2008 saw a sudden halt in rising property values.
