I just saw an interesting video about a man who has written a book about how "Why" sells and why "How and What" do not.

One of the interesting things about surfing the net is how you discover more and more interesting things the more you do it.

While my studies were engaged, I happen to run across this video about a man who wrote a book about "Why." You can get the link on my blog.

The point of the book and video is that many people market there business from the point of "how or what" In other words, they describe the wonderful benefits of there business in detail. His point is that customers are not as concerned with what and how as they are with why.

Why I started my internet business explains how he uses Apple Computers, Martin Luther King and others as examples of how they used "Why" to separate themselves from the crowd.

While doing my video blog, why I started my internet business,I started to think about this and I decided to think of what my "why's" were in my business.

It was a very interesting experience. It really fit into my studies in meta-physics and wealth creation.

One of the things I learned was to set up a vision board. The purpose of a vision board is to see why you want to be successful. Money is not a reason, it is a result. So if you say, "I want to start my business to make money, you probably will not be successful as it is a very vague reason. A better example might be, I want to start a business, so I can afford to get braces for my child. Or, I've always wanted to tour South America.

1. The first reason I started my internet business was I enjoy the challenge. I'm a musician singer/songwriter so I want another way to create abundance. Doing video blogs and writing are fun projects for me that really get me outside of my comfort zone. I need to be self disciplined and consistent. I watch motivational videos daily. Helps in all aspects of life.

2. The second reason why I started my internet business is the need to be better at marketing for my music business. You can be an awesome musician songwriter, but if you can't market your product, why do it?

3. The third reason I started my internet business is I enjoy helping others. I figure, if I can do it, anyone can. If someones else does good because they followed my lead, that would be just awesome.

4. Now the fourth reason why I started my internet business is I want to have enough abundance in my life where I can assist others with money situations who might really need some help.

Why not take a few minutes and decide your own why. Even if you are not in your own business , it sure might help you stay focused and motivated.

Walt Disney said, "Disneyland is a work of love. We didn't go into Disneyland just with the idea of making money."
