How the song came about

ASAP after writing a song, I upload it to youtube now. It kind of a way of keeping track of my songs.

Before the internet, I would have little scraps of paper that I would write songs on and they might be in my binder that I bought or on my desk or on the floor.

That's all changed, I know know where most of them are.

Well, while I was uploading a song to youtube, takes a few minutes, I picked up my uke which was sitting by my desk and started playing a little. Well, I don't really remember how it happened as I think I drop into the void or the zone or something, this song Where Frogs Have Wings, Original Song @ Alex muddy Smith, happened. This is one of the fastest songs I have ever written. Maybe 10 minutes.

Sometimes if you open your channels, and don't get in your own way, things just happen.

I always remember a playoff game with Michael Jordan when he ruled the basketball courts of the NBA, he kept making all these three point shots. One after the other. He was in the zone. That's kind of how I look at writing now. I just don't get in my own way and think about it to much.

Where Frogs Have Wings, the title is kind of from a cliche used when people say the word if. Like if I said, "If only I had a million dollars." The cliche answer would be, "Yea, and if frogs had wings, they would be able to fly".

So, I think the song, Where Frogs Have Wings, Original Song @ Alex muddy Smith, is like all the things happen if.

Or even better yet, it whatever you think it is.

Ya know, if you like this song, it may not be for sale yet, but when it comes up for sale, don't be a bystander, buy it. It's only gonna cost like 98 cents, which doesn't really mean a lot to either or us, but it might be the right thing to do. If it's not for sale yet, enjoy.
