BELIEF
Believing in everything you are doing is absolutely
essential to your success. You must believe in yourself,
in your business, in your products and most of all in your
vision and your ability to achieve it. Henry Ford is often
quoted as saying �If you believe you can, or you believe
you can't, you are right�, or words to that effect. Do you
understand what he was saying? You cannot achieve
what you do not believe you are capable or deserving of
achieving.
Now I could go on here at great length about the
importance of this, but that would just make this post
way too long. There have been many, many books
written on this subject and its importance. What you
really should do is check out some of these books.
Those authors are much better at explaining the whole
subject than I am.
What's important to you is that you MUST believe in
yourself and everything you�re doing here. If you do not,
you're probably wasting your time trying to make a
success of Internet marketing.
WORK ETHIC
You must understand that if you're going to run your
own business, no matter what type of business that is,
you will need to work at it. I used to complain about
working long hours when I worked for someone else,
but when I started my own business I really found out
what long hours and hard work were all about.
Whatever tasks you set for yourself during the course
of a day, a week or a month, you must ensure that
those tasks get done. Even though you're operating
your business from home, maybe even in your pyjamas
as some say you can, you must still treat this as a
business and exercise discipline to get things done.
If you can set aside a specific time and place where
you can get away from everything else and work on
your business, that would be ideal.
I cannot tell you how many times I've heard people
who are trying to run home-based businesses complain
that their business is failing. But when grilled about the
time and effort they put into their business, it turns out
that they thought they could do it with no effort.
Having said all that, you should know that in some parts
of your business at least, you can outsource a lot of the
work. What you must understand, however, is that no
matter how much of the work you do outsource there
will always be work to be done to build a business. The
outsourcing will simply allow you to focus on those things
which you are good at, and pay others in some way or
another to do the things that you don't have the ability
or time to do.
Now can you see how Belief can have such a big role
in your success? Can you imagine trying to develop and
maintain a good work ethic for a business you didn�t
really believe in? It just wouldn�t happen � the two go
hand in hand.
