Your Home Is a Haven From The Dangers Outside

Or Is It?

We would like to believe that our homes are safe and healthy environments for our families. But are they as safe as we believe them to be?

There are several issues in question here:

Can we trust manufacturers to produce safe products for our homes?
Can we trust government regulatory agencies to ensure product safety?
How much responsibility rests on each of us to ensure our home is safe?

I will address each of these issues one at a time so that we can make the safest choices for our families.

Can We Trust Manufacturers to Produce Safe Products?

Seriously? Can we seriously expect manufacturers to produce safe products if it will increase their costs, and give them a smaller profit margin? They are obligated to continually increase their profits to keep their stocks in demand. They are able to use cheaper, more questionable ingredients in their products by using loop-holes in the regulatory rules - and they usually do!

Can We Trust Government Regulatory Agencies To Ensure Product Safety?

We all seem to get a warm and fuzzy feeling when we know there is a government agency sitting in the position of 'Consumer Watchdog" that keeps us all safe from harm...

This video was created to point out how easy it is to trust both manufacturers and regulatory agencies and still have your family suffer the consequences. Usually, the government agencies do not go after manufacturers until they get some serious problems - like death of a consumer!
