Working Remotely - Working from Home Making Money Does Require Work

Also the worker runs the risk of getting distracted. Not being used to the unstructured environment of being home, the worker maybe thrown off focus by friends, family and the television. Friends and family, may take the presence of the worker being home as a sign that they can ask them do things they weren't able to when the worker was a way at work. An even bigger danger is the television. With the ever growing selection of shows to watch on the internet, it is very easy to get catch up in watching back episodes, missed sporting events or award shows.

This can cause mistakes to be made. It can also cause delays as the worker starts to postpone things until after the show is over because they don't want to miss anything. So working from home can be full of unexpected drawbacks.

To overcome these drawbacks requires self discipline, organization and planning. Self discipline is the most important because the other two are dependent on one's self discipline. It takes self discipline to take the time and energy to organize. Organization isn't a simple activity. One has to have a vision of what things are for and how they are going to be utilized. This is why planning is important. Because without planning it is easier to get side tracked and stay side tracked.

That was one of the things that I was experiencing this month and is illustrated by this months blog posting. The best thing though is that even if you fall of track, you can get back on track. Work from home provides one a great sense of freedom, and the ability to control one's workflow to a higher degree then when you are in an office. The key is maintain a balance and watch out for the pitfalls.
