I had never had a webinar host demand that I go buy and install a microphone on my computer or advise that I can never join in one of there meetings! That is the way that the program is designed!! After many replies with the Fuze Tech Support and getting local professional developer help to do excessive testing we came up with a solution that made me happy as I can Resonate Darryl's great voice through out the house without plugging in a mike. Here is my last reply to ConFuze Tech Support :
Cassandra,
I have stumbled across a great finding that I will attempt to
explain. It was unbelievable that with several computers only one old
model Gateway running Vista would login with great sound, This was
really warping my mind because Fuze Tech insists that you must go
purchase a mike or you will never be able to login to one of their
meetings. I had my computer guy over to help with the mystery. On the
desk with this old computer running Vista was a usb hub having several
items plugged in. In testing the programmer unplugged everything and
found that he could not login to the fuze program. Now this is
surprising and good news to me. The tool that made everything work to
perfection was an old Magic Jack phone. Apparently it simulated a mike
and connected with great quality sound. I feel sure that any VOIP phone
would provide the same performance.
I personally resented anyone telling me that I had to go purchase a
mike when I had no intention of needing or using a mike. Out of all the
many webinars that I have attended, none required a mike, you just sit
back and enjoy listening and when you have a question you type it in the
data field and wait for an answer without having to hold a phone to
your ear throughout a webinar. I am very happy with our findings.
