What do  a Jewish Tailor, a supermodel and an Internet Marketer have in common? It sounds like a joke, but hang in there because there is something these three all have in common.

Once upon a time there was a little Jewish boy who lived in Germany with his family. One day when he had reached his late teens the family decided to move to the United States--the land of opportunity.

The family started working together in NYC and then started heading west. Some of the family moved to the Gateway to the West, St. Louis, and started a thriving business while others including this Young Jewish man built up a business in Louisville.

Though the family was making excellent money they could see that there was a national movement towards California. Two reasons for this exploding migration to the former California Republic were its recently becoming part of the U. S. and the gold rush.

The young man arrived in the City by the Bay, San Francisco, and set up a shop just as his brothers, sisters and parents had done. They sold dry goods, the modern equivalent of a Target or Kmart, mines the food.

Our hero discovered a need: many of the minors who came in to buy picks, shovels and other tools were wearing thread-worn pants. Some of these workers were wearing dress pants that had nearly disintegrated.

Bam! The Idea struck our young hero--"let me manufacture pants that are made of heavy cloth, that will be held together not simply with thread but sockets so they will last their heavy usage in the mines...It was a success and the Levi Strauss Company was formed.

Nearly eighty years after Levi Strauss left us a new revolution occurred when a slender teenage model commented that, "nothing came between her and her Calvin Klein's."

Brooke Shields and Calvin Klein shocked and rocked the world. Not only was the reference a bit risqu� but it changed the landscape of fashion forever. The 1980s were known for blued jeans, but now not just for work and play but for fashionable events--they even made it to the Oscars.

Today nearly everything is sold via the Internet. But those who have made the greatest fortunes as Internet Entrepreneurs have made their income from taking a lesson from Levi Strauss...

The Gold is not in the hills, it's in the tools. Whether the tools are Internet Browsers like Explorer, Safari, and Firefox, educational and training systems, or Auto responders and lead generating software, the power of effective tools is the secret.

The thing that ties a Jewish Tailor, a supermodel and an Internet Marketer is that all three saw a need, looked at that need from a different angle and changed the world.

As you look towards your goals, whatever they might be, start with what needs exist, who needs it, and how can you meet that need with an appropriate solution.
