The pitfalls of buying (most) MLM/Opportunity Leads

In this post I�m going to outline 3 popular ways people generate mlm leads and my personal favorite way of generating leads on a day in and day out basis both in the Network Marketing industry and when I'm selling products or services.

There are many different ways of generating leads online, but some of the methods are useless and not worth spending your money on.

You want to generate leads that will turn into customers.

So I will dive into the 3 different methods and show you the positives and negatives of each method and my personal experience using them.

Warm MLM Leads

It will always be easiest to tap into a market that already knows, likes and trust you. Most network marketers start out by contacting their family, friends, Facebook friends, Twitter followers and anyone close enough to them that will listen to their business opportunity presentation.

The problem with this method is most will not be interested in your business and in my personal experience it�s not a good idea all together.

I�ve tried helping friends and family in the past to generate a income online and it only turned out with them pointing fingers as to why it didn�t work.

They didn�t take their online business as serious as I did and it never worked out for them. Pitching your family and friends is not the best mlm lead you can generate in my opinion.

This method works for some, but there are easier ways of generating leads online.

Purchasing the Best MLM Leads

The next step people usually take when trying to generate leads for their mlm business is to purchase them online.

A quick google search and you can find plenty of sites to buy leads by the hundreds and even thousands.

Most of these types of leads are pretty worthless because of the way they were generated.

Some of the leads will require you to call them.

If you like doing traditional network marketing there's nothing wrong with this method, but the problem lies in how the leads were generated.

Some of the leads are old and by the time you even get around to calling them they won�t even remember entering their info to receive information on a home based business.

The second problem is most of these companies sell the leads over and over again. So by the time you get around to contacting them, they could have been contacted by hundreds of other people.

The third problem of buying leads is the way they captured the leads.

Most of the leads aren�t even targeted to what you have to offer. Most of the leads are generated by people entering their information into a form being told they have a chance to win something.

Another popular method people use is called co-registration which means that the people are opting into a web form, but going on many different peoples lists.

These leads can work for you if people don�t abuse the method, but most do.

Let me explain�

What most people do is setup the co-reg so you opt-in to 5-10 people at a time. Once people get annoyed from being mailed by all these different people they have no clue about they will end up hitting the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email.

From here it will say �Wait, before you leave just uncheck the box for the newsletters you no longer want to receive.

If you make the mistake of not unchecking the boxes it will add you to more peoples lists.

If you�ve never experienced this first hand, let me tell you it�s very annoying and frustrating as a customer perspective.

These are definitely not the best mlm leads you can get and they�re waste of money.

The first two methods I just descrembed are not the way to build your business. You want to brand yourself as an authority figure and you want leads that want to do business with you.

Buy only high quality targeted, exclusive, leads

You want high quality, ready to buy from/join you.

The third method is my favorite and the method I personally use in my business.

The method we are using to convert our leads at 50% Yes, 1 in every 2 leads are converting!

So how can you achieve results like this?

You HAVE TO start with HIGH QUALITY TIGHTLY TARGETED LEADS.

And then, and only then, you have to drop them into a high converting sales funnel that matches the program, product or service you're offering. (I'll cover this aspect in another post )

Let's get back to how you access high quality leads ...

You do it the way the heavy hitters who have a ton of money to spend do it. People like David Woods, Dexter Yager, Shane Morand, Ed Bestoso, Jordan Adler, Tony Rush, Simon Abboud and the list goes on.

Are you ready for the answer :-)

You get them only from a supplier who:

Will accept a No Competition clause in the Lead supply agreement.
Has exclusive agreements with media firms & ad agencies to leverage some of the most exclusive traffic in the MLM niche, affiliate marketing, and make money from home.
Isn't lying to you about how good their leads are! (fully 95% will)

The leads must have been proven to convert over time and for a number of industry related offers. In our case we have stats showing an average of 24% conversions over all our members, with several achieving 50% (probably their SMS text followups are done more consistently)

Even 24% is unheard of before this, and I'd confidently wager that yours are lower, probably a lot lower!

There is one challenge that most people can't overcome with purchasing these high quality targeted, and exclusive, leads - the minimum order costs $50,000.

Now that doesn't worry the large corporations or the industry heavy hitters but for the likes of you and me it's a dead stop right there.

So how do you overcome the $50,000 up-front cost?

Well, you buy into a lead co-op. For, say, $100 for a parcel of these leads

Some of you have done that haven't you - and been massively disappointed.

Why does that happen to you?

Because the co-ops are buying from low quality sources, not from a source like I have outlined above.

Rubbish in, rubbish out. :-(

And the results are disastrous in many ways ...

You don't have many people join.
You don't make many sales.
And you start to start to loose faith in your offer! (psychologically crippling you)

Don't do that! Invest only in high quality targeted exclusive leads.
