Reflection:
There are approximately 22 major Religions in the earth: The religions most recognized are: Christianity, Islam, Atheist, Hinduism, Chinese traditional religion, Buddhism, Primal- Indigenous, African traditional, Sikhism, Juche, Spiritism, Judaism, Bahia, Jainism, Shinto, Cao Dai, Zoroastrianism, Tenrikyo, Neo-Paganism, Unitarian, Rastafarianism, Scientology. (I�ve never even heard of some of these).
Christianity itself has splintered off into many, many denominations. According to the Dictionary of Christianity in America [Protestant] (Downers Grove, IL: Intervarsity Press, 1990): "As of 1980 David B. Barrett identified 20,800 Christian denominations worldwide . .
That men are searching for God goes without question. Even an avowed atheist, deep inside, knows that God exists. Just look at this verse:
�He has made everything beautiful in its time. He also has planted eternity in men's hearts and minds [a divinely implanted sense of a purpose working through the ages which nothing under the sun but God alone can satisfy], yet so that men cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end (Eccl 3:11 Amplified).� Given the right set of circumstances even the atheist will cry out for God.
Everyone knows that God exists. The devil knows it all too well, and so he decided he would divide and conquer using the smoke and mirrors of religion. You have to admit he did a remarkable job at masking the true path to God. For most folks this quest for God has become the proverbial needle in the haystack and, without help, who can find it.
This is where we come in:
�How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!(Rom 10:14-15).�
We personally know that one mediator between God and men, it�s Jesus Christ. And we are those beautiful feet �
