18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
Reflections:
I thought it might be profitable to take stock of those attributes of God which we are reflecting to those we rub elbows with on a daily basis. In that we are created in Gods image, with the Holy Spirit living in us, it seems reasonable to expect that we should be displaying the character and nature of God to those around us, and doing so effortlessly.
Ill list the some of the more obvious attributes of God and then we can objectively grade ourselves as to how well were allowing Him to flow through us. Ill list 10 attributes each worth up to ten points; that way we can get a sense as to how well were doing. Here we go:
1. Having Gods compassion for those that are hurting. Score =
2. Giving others grace the way God gives grace to me. Score =
3. Being gentle with those I consider weaker in the faith. Score =
4. Truly loving others with the God kind of love. Score =
5. Showing total impartiality to all. Score =
6. Treating people justly just like God would treat me. Score =
7. Having the God kind of patience with those who press my buttons. Score =
8. Being absolutely truthful to all. Score =
9. Living a holy life in the midst of a wicked generation. Score =
10. Being faithful to fulfill my promises. Score =
Well, there we have it. Its time to praise God if we scored high, or perhaps its time to pray and press in spiritually if we didnt score so well.
