Luke 9:49-50(AMP)

49 John said, Master, we saw a man driving out demons in Your name and we commanded him to stop it, for he does not follow along with us. 50 But Jesus told him, Do not forbid [such people]; for whoever is not against you is for you.

 Reflections:

I don�t really want to focus on the demonology today, but rather on the thought that there are many followers of Jesus Christ that do not belong to �our pack,� �or brand� of Christianity. But if they�re doing the will, and work, of God they are no less a follower of Jesus than we.

 I have been told that unity across the planet is unrealistic. I totally disagree. I disagree because of the words of Jesus, �that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me (John 17:21).�

 This is the only way that the world will believe that Jesus really did come, and die, and rise again to set us free from sin and death. People will be convinced because, �love never fails.�

 The only problem is getting there from here. There�s so many walls that men have built to keep us apart. They�re called �denominations.� Is there a way around this? I say, yes! The first thing to do is for us to individually, in our hearts, determine to say yes to Jesus� desire for us to be one, and next we must set out to do so.

 I have adopted a vision for Christianity that says there is no walls; they�re invisible to me. I simply refuse to acknowledge them. God showed me a verse of scripture that can bring us to the unity He desires. It�s a verse that tells us what we �must� have in common, beyond our true salvation, such that we can be united. Here it is:

�I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love,  endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all (Eph 4:1-6).�

 I believe love can overcome all the rest of the church�s over-interpreted doctrines that tend to divide us. God just needs a few committed-to-His-will Christians and He can change the world. Jesus started with just twelve �
