Philippians 4:8 (King James Version)
8Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Reflections:
This verse is one of Gods recipe for a healthy spirit, mind and body.
It has been said that un-forgiveness and a deep-seated bitterness in our hearts is a seedbed for cancer.
That anxiety leads to high blood pressure,
That auto-immune diseases are rooted in self-hatred and self-rejection,
And the list goes on and on.
Just as we are what we eat, we become a product of what were harboring in our hearts. A negative person cant help but spew all sorts of ugliness from their mouth; for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
But what if we, as believers, choose to change all that -- truly surrender all to Christ, asking the Holy Spirit to sow those healing seeds of Phil 4:8 into the depths of our heart. What type of a harvest might we expect? Thats right! Its a no-brainer. The result will be an overabundance of healing for out spirit, soul and body?
So many true believers still suffer much at the hands of their poor choices to still harbor sin. God has set before each believer the choice to walk in life or death the blessings or the curses, and then encourages us to choose life!
