

Ecclesiastes 2:17 (AMP)
17So I hated life, because what is done under the sun was grievous to me; for all is vanity and a striving after the wind and a feeding on it.
Reflections:
King Solomon had it all. He held nothing back from himself. One of his conclusions is quoted above. Things simply do not satisfy a thirsty human soul. We always come up empty in the end.
Oh, if I could only go here or there I�d be happy. If only I had married that person I�d be happier. If I only had a few million dollars I�d surly be happy. Truth be known, we simply cannot catch up to the wind of happiness no matter how hard we try or how fast we run. The race always ends the same; with trouble and an empty vacuum within us that nothing can satisfy.
That is until Jesus Christ comes to live within us. Yes, when we finally surrender our life to the one who created it we find that the floodgates of heaven open wide. Refreshing pours into our hearts and a new life begins at last � a wonderful new life extending into eternity and beyond!
A key to abundant life: Spiritual abundance is directly proportional to the amount that our personal kingdom yields to Christ�s kingdom. If we choose to walk with one foot in the world and one foot in the kingdom of God we will simply not inherit the full blessings of God.
