6Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Reflections:
Most of us, especially in America, have yet to experience what it�s like to be without food -- to be starving. Even fewer of us know what it�s like to go without water for long periods of time. When men are deprived of these basic necessities of life they become desperate and, as we know, �desperate men do desperate things.� Some will stop at nothing.
As a general rule, to survive we must:
If we do not receive these three, we become desperate.
However, many of us live without spiritual food and water for extended periods of time -- so long so that we become spiritually parched and weak. Sometime we don�t even realize what�s happening until we find ourselves distanced from God, on our own and running on empty.
God wants to continually nourish us personally. He wants us to be full to overflowing with His love and abundance. He has so much amazing spiritual food and drink for us. All we need do is to press in for the blessing -- to truly hunger and thirst after righteousness. He promises that we shall be filled
