Jonah 1 (KJV)

 1Now the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, 2Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.  3But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD, and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish: so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD.


Reflections:

Jonah was running away from the call of God on his life. Are you?


Perhaps God has a specific ministerial call on your life and, like Jonah, you really do not want to do what He has told you to do.


Just remember: whales come in many different shapes and sizes. If you find yourself in the belly of your circumstances you might just want to reconsider.


Here�s some good advice from Jonah: Then Jonah prayed to the LORD his God from the fish�s belly.  And he said: ï¿½ I cried out to the LORD because of my affliction, and He answered me (Jonah 2:1-2).�
