Psalm 32:7 (AMP)
7 You are a hiding place for me; You, Lord, preserve me from trouble, You surround me with songs and shouts of deliverance. Selah[pause, and calmly think of that]!
Reflections:
To a little swan chick (known as a cygnet [sig-nit]) theres nothing like the shelter of moms wings for protection. A mommy swan can be extremely aggressive if she perceives her young are threatened. At thirty pounds of fury they can be a very formidable foe.
But to a little cygnet theres no place theyd rather be other than under the shelter of moms nurturing wings. And for the believing Christian theres no place we would rather be than sheltered within the loving arms of God. After all, If God is for us who can be against us? No one messes with Gods kid and gets away with it.
It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God (Heb 10:31). Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord (Rom 12:19). So when threatenings raise their ugly head against us what should we do?
Answer: Run for shelter in God and sing songs of deliverance like Paul and Silas when they were in a deep prison (Acts 16:24-26) and before you know it that which has threatened you will fall away like chains and you will be free.
What a mighty God we serve !
