Deuteronomy 22:9-11 (NKJV)
9 You shall not sow your vineyard with different kinds of seed, lest the yield of the seed which you have sown and the fruit of your vineyard be defiled. 10 You shall not plow with an ox and a donkey together. 11 You shall not wear a garment of different sorts, such as wool and linen mixed together.
Reflections:
This is an interesting verse and has been a favorite of mine for many years. It speaks of how God does not approve of mixtures. The message it has always spoken to my heart is about being unequally yoked together with the world. The carnal and the spiritual, simply stated, just dont mix; just like oil and water doesnt mix.
Im just going to let the scriptures speak for itself:
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness (2 Cor 6:14)?
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty (2 Cor 6:17-18).
Do not be so deceived and misled! Evil companionships (communion, associations) corrupt and deprave good manners and morals and character (1 Cor 15:33-34).
It is the Fathers desire that we be his only so that he can shower his love upon us; and oh how He wants to receive our love in return. He created us for himself alone. And yes, hes a jealous God Jealous over having to share us with the world
