Acts 4:12 (NKJV)
�Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.�
Reflections:
Of course this verse is talking about the name of Jesus Christ. It�s not talking about a denomination or a form of religion; it�s talking about a person; the only one who died to pay for our sins and to exchange his sinless life for ours -- the Lord Jesus Christ!
For some reason many people associate God with a certain church organization. Well, there�s only one true church in the earth and it�s invisible. It�s made up of �living� stones � born-again folks -- us! Some folks get caught in the halfway of religion and miss the whole thing, including heaven.
Jesus said the only way to get to heaven is to be born-again � end of story (John 3:3)!!! There simply is no other way! Trying to be good won�t work because we simply can�t be good enough to merit heaven (Titus 3:5). The Bible says that all (every one of us) have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Rom 6:23). The Bible straight up tells us that �there is none righteous, no not even one (Rom3:10)!�
When we finally get this right in our thinking, the only question left is, how do I truly get saved? What do I need to do? God made the answer simple:
� Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ; that He�s the doorway to heaven; the only one who died for your sin
� Confess and acknowledge that, Lord, yes, I�m a sinner and I don�t even deserve to go to heaven
� Repent of your sins, telling God how sorry you are for them
� Invite Jesus to come into your life, as your Savior and Lord, and to cleanse you from your sin
If you really want get saved (born-again), according to the �biblical pattern,� you can do what the Apostle Peter said: �Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38).�
Well, there you have it. The rest is up to you �
