 8Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

 

Reflections:

This Psalm repeats this exact same verse four times; each time it is surrounded by God�s bountiful provisions to those who love and honor Him. Let�s look at a few of these provisions:

  9 For He satisfies the longing soul,
    And fills the hungry soul with goodness.

 

 14 He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death,
    And broke their chains in pieces.

 

 20 He sent His word and healed them,
    And delivered them from their destructions.

 

 29 He calms the storm,
    So that its waves are still.

 

Perhaps, like a butterfly, we can land on each thought for a moment and allow the nectar of God�s provisions for our lives to swell in our hearts before going on to the next.

 

God is always blessing us. Why not pause for one more moment to praise Him in appreciation for His wondrous gifts to the children of men � us!
