Leviticus 20:26 (KJV)

 26And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine.

Reflections:

This as an amazing verse of scripture. It�s amazing because it�s so true -- just like when a cowpuncher separates a cow from the herd for branding; so were we separated from the world and now bear the branding of God on our hearts. A brand plucked out of the fire (Zechariah 3:1-5). We now belong to Him!ScreenHunter_02 Feb. 08 07.50.gif


How is it that God converts the human heart so totally that it can no longer be part of the world system it was birthed into; that it is complelled to come out from among them and be separated unto God (2 Corinthians 6:16-18)? This is not natural. No beloved, it�s supernatural and unexplainable; yet very wonderful!

We cry, �why me God?� I don�t deserve it! How can we say thanks? All that it seems we can do is to humbly raise our voice along with others like John Newton, that despicable slave trader who got saved, and sing from a grateful heart, �Amazing grace how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me.�

And what is this burning inward passion to be holy unto the Lord? This too is unexplainable yet insatiable, and also very wonderful. We are a special and blessed people in the earth �a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light (1 Pet 2:9).�

Yes, God has severed us from other people; now it�s time to be about the Father�s business �
