Acts 14:22 (AMP)
22Establishing and strengthening the souls and the hearts of the disciples, urging and warning and encouraging them to stand firm in the faith, and [telling them] that it is through many hardships and tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God.
Reflections:
Faith is the only true anchor for our soul. When the storms of life are raging out of control and it seems were being tossed to and fro, faith is what bores us on with hope.
Natural storms come in all different shapes and sizes. Theres rain storms accompanied with thunder and lightning, hail, snow and ice storms, hurricanes, tornados and even sand storms. Emotionally speaking some of us suffers occasional rain-storms in our lives while others of us seem to be a storm-magnet attracting the most vicious of storms -- almost constantly.
Many a Christian feels as though their whole life has been nothing but a whirlwind of conflict and confusion and they just want it to stop. The good news is that God has provided a full provision for each and every Christian with which to stand firm in the very worst of lifes storms.
Were told in the book to the Ephesians 6:13 to put on the whole armor of God and having done all then were to stand!
Perhaps its time to review this chapter in Ephesians asking the Holy to enlighten us to its personal application for our lives. All that remains then is to do what He says
