Deuteronomy 30:19 (KJV)
19I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
Reflections:
These Old Testament words spoken through Moses to Israel while they were under the Law seem to still call out today; even though we (as Christians) are now under grace. It seems that many of us who have life (in Christ) still choose to live in death (sin). In other words we continue to make poor choices.
The Holy Spirit lives within us to lead, to guide, to teach, to empower and also to convict us just prior to the point of these poor choices. To be tempted by sin suggestion from the devil�s crowd, and to always make good choices, isn�t easy, but it is necessary if we want to maintain the spiritual stability of a sense of righteousness, peace and joy in our hearts.
The Holy Spirit is the answer to this spiritual warfare dilemma. It we sincerely desire true holiness He will always convict us before we have to choose a death (sin) thought projection. Therefore choose life! �If we walk in the Spirit we will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh (Gal 5:16).�
