Hebrews 12:2 (KJV)
2Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Reflections:Jesus Christ is the very source of our faith -- were it not for him there would not be the unseen substance we have come to rely on as faith. And without a �finisher� of faith it would ultimately bear no substance.
But beware, this �faith� of Jesus is not just some trivial matter set before us to please us if we choose. It is the very essence of spirit-life eternally embraced; or alas, spirit-death eternally abhorred.
Faith was designed with a choice attached. We can choose the Author of Life, or we can enjoy sin for a season and make the evil Deceiver our buddy � forever. WE GET TO MAKE THE CHOICE!
Jesus authored a pure salvation by faith choosing to be beaten and left to bleed, enduring the shame of that cruel cross, so that he could redeem his very hearts desire to himself � us! If we so desire it, His finished work is ours, forever!!!
