Ever since I was an aerobics instructor in the 80s (yes, I was a Jane Fonda disciple with tights, legwarmers and headbands) one of the most common areas of frustration Ive encountered in my students and workout classmates over the years is having a pooch.

In other words, stubborn belly fat that wont go away, no matter how many sit-ups you do!

And unfortunately, being reluctant to wear a bathing suit and having to buy loose-fitting tops is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the price you pay for carrying around belly fat.

Because belly fat can be associated with some pretty scary health consequences too.

Lets take a look at all of the dangers of having a pooch as well as ways that you can finally help
get rid of it for good!

Belly fat danger #1: Increased heart disease risk

Fat accumulation anywhere on your body is a perfect illustration of your triglycerides in actionthey
are your bodys main type of fat.

Now, although your triglycerides serve some important functions like storing energy, protecting your
internal organs and housing your essential fatty acid reserves, when you have too many and the blubber
starts to emerge, thats when the trouble starts.

First and foremost, having high blood levels of triglycerides increases your risk of heart disease.

What happens is the excess triglycerides can make your blood thicker which can in turn push too hard
against your inner artery walls and cause inflammation.  When these areas get inflamed they can become
the perfect hot spots for debris to begin accumulating.  Over time this can lead to a serious build-up
and eventually a heart attack or stroke.

But having belly fat seriously multiplies this risk!

You see, fat cells located in your belly area release fat into your blood more easily than fat cells
found elsewhere in your body.  Release of fat from your middle begins just 3 to 4 hours after you eat,
compared to many more hours for other fat cells.

This can cause a SURGE of triglycerides into your bloodstream, which can accelerate the artery damage I
descrembed above and keep your local cardiologists phone ringing off the hook.

Belly fat danger #2: Increased kidney disease risk

The belly fat risks can also move southbecause your kidneys can be affected too.

Researchers in the Netherlands have found that having excess belly fat can significantly raise your risk
of kidney disease--even if your pooch is rather small and youre not grossly overweight!

While a connection between obesity and kidney disease has long been proven, this recent study (published
in the Journal of the American Society of Nephrology) is the first to show how even a small increase in
belly fat begins to strain your kidneys, reducing the blood flow to them and raising the local blood
pressure within them.

Since your kidneys are responsible for filtering dangerous toxins out of your bloodstream and eliminating
them through your urine, when theyre under stress you become increasingly toxicand this makes you the
perfect home for disease to flourish.

Belly fat danger #3: Increased dementia risk

The wrath of belly fat can move north tooas far north as your BRAIN!

People with extra abdominal fat are three times more likely than slimmer individuals to develop memory loss
and dementia later in life.

Heres why, according to a recent study published in the journal Cell Reports:

Your liver and the memory center of your brain (known as the hippocampus) share a need for a certain protein
called PPARalpha. Your liver uses PPARalpha to burn belly fat and the hippocampus uses PPARalpha to process
memory.

Well, if youve got a lot of belly fat, your liver needs to work extra hard to metabolize all that fat, and
in doing so, it hoards your bodys reserves of PPARalphastarting by first depleting nearby stores of it and
then eventually raiding the rest of your bodys supply--including your brain.

Eventually your hippocampus ends up starving for PPARalpha, and this can hamper your memory and learning.

Say goodbye to the pooch for good!

Hopefully you appreciate that the dangers of belly fat are a lot more serious than having to suck in your
stomach for pictures or lay on the bed to zip your jeans.

And the great news is, it IS possible to finally say goodbye to the pooch for good!

An extremely effective plan to help beat high triglycerides and reduce that fat around your middle is this
four-step process:

Step 1- Step it up

Yupyou know what Im talking about.  Its Sherry the drill sergeant again telling you to exercise.

But note that all exercise is not created equal, especially when it comes to getting rid of belly fat.

First of all, while sit-ups are very good for strengthening your abdominal muscles, they dont really do much
to shrink your pooch.

To burn fat anywhere in your body, you need to engage in cardio activities like jogging, running, kickboxing,
cycling and swimmingsomething that is going to raise your heart rate.

Work in some interval training as well.  Studies have shown that quick bursts of intense exercise followed by
slower resting periods are very effective in stoking your fat burning furnace.

Ive started doing these myself.  For example, on the treadmill Ill go all out at 8 miles an hour for a
minute, then rest and jog at 5.5 MPH for 2 minutes, then back to one minute at 8 MPH and so forth.  Of course,
you can choose whatever speeds work for you.

Ive been running for 22 years and Ive got to tell you, interval training like this has made a tremendous
difference in my level of stamina and also has helped keep my 51 year-old stomach nice and flat!

Get your doctors approval and get moving to shrink that belly fat now!

Step 2- Eat for lower triglycerides

To help reduce your bodys accumulation of triglycerides and in turn deflate your gut, you need to know what
causes elevated triglycerides to begin with, then do something about it.

Here are the three main culprits:

1-      Eating too many refined carbohydrates such as white flour, processed grains, sweets, and other
sugar-containing foods, plus

2-      Eating too many saturated fats, especially trans-fats, plus

3-      Having too few antioxidants in your system

So if you want hopes of slashing those triglycerides in your system and shrinking the pooch, youve got to adopt
a healthier diet of real foods (that includes natural sources of antioxidants), nix the processed/refined garbage,
and get sources of healthy fats.

If this sounds difficult or overwhelming, not to worry...

I can help make it a breeze for you with Great Taste No Pain.

The Great Taste No Pain health system gives you step by step guides and meal ideas that help you to automatically
limit refined carbs and bad fats, while eating foods that are loaded with antioxidants.

Now don't worry about eating rabbit food or bland foods!  The dishes in the recipe book portion of the system are
SO delicious, you'll swear they can't possibly be good for you!

By following Great Taste No Pain, you'll dramatically help improve your digestion and nutrient absorption, plus
you'll be eating nutritious foods that are inherently lower in calories and keep you satisfied longer.

And all of that means that your pooch will soon begin to shrink AND you won't be starving all the time!

How does THAT sound to you?

Step 3- Supplement with Omega-3 essential fatty acids.

Omega-3 essential fatty acids can safely lower blood triglyceride levels by up to 65%!

Studies have shown that people who maintain a rich supply of Omega-3 EFAs remain free of cardiovascular disease and other degenerative conditions far longer than those with lower Omega-3 levels.

That translates into feeling GREAT well into your golden years.

Plus Omega-3 EFAs are absolutely crucial for proper brain functioningwhich was another concern above associated with excess belly fat.

The impressive resume of Omega-3 EFAs continues to grow, and thats why supplementing with a fish oil blend can be so helpful for SO many people!

And, unlike dangerous drugs from the pharmaceutical companies, Omega-3 fish oil is natural, safe and good for you in SO many ways!

As a matter of fact, many medical professionals and even Web MD recommends fish oil for high triglycerides!

Step 4- Chill out

Most people dont realize this, but chronic stress can add to your pooch.

You see, stress makes your body produce the hormone cortisol, which can deplete lean muscle and make your body hold on to fat in the belly region. It also enlarges your fat cells, allowing them to store more fat!

Regular exercise like I mentioned in number 1 above is a great way to de-stress.

Also you can try counseling, therapy, yoga, meditation, deep breathing, acupuncture, massage therapy, hobbies,
visualization, Tai chi, aromatherapy, biofeedback and hypnosis.

Even adopting a pet has been shown to help!  So pay a visit to your local animal shelter if you decide this is right
for you.

Do it now!

Now that you know all of the serious risks of your belly blubber, its time to get going, put the 4 steps Ive outlined
above in place, and get rid of your pooch for good!

You just may end up with a much healthier and longer life as a result!

I cant think of anything nicer than that.

To your health,

Sherry Brescia
